This shoe fits me perfectly and I typically struggle to find a shoe that fits well on my heel. Right out of the box I was able to get full-on performance and feel super confident climbing! This heel is also great as there is a kinda stiff part of it that allows you to really just set it on/in holds and it just stays there really locked in. To be honest it feels a bit like cheating. The toe rubber while thicker than shoes I have been climbing in(Drago LV) still grabs really well and provides great grip. Also impressive considering that I downsize and have long toes so my toe curl is pretty extreme making toe hooking already challenging. The split sole works really well here when I’m moving fast over holds or moving dynamically I feel like the shoe is helping propel me which really helps me keep focused on where my feet are. Finally, the toe is a little more rounded than I’m used to, but I’ve actually found this helps if I slightly miss a hold. The rubber is just so sticky that I don’t have to worry about toeing in with 100% precision I can just focus on climbing. Overall I’m kind of bummed because If I can’t get a climb done in this shoe that means I just have to get stronger. There is not a shoe out there that’s going to help me more than these ones.

First of all, I love the performance and the fit of this shoe! I switched from Scarpa Drago LV and the Flagship LV fits perfectly.
But unfortunately the rubber is pretty thin in the front where the softer toecap meets the harder inner sole. After only 8 weeks of climbing/ bouldering indoors (5 times/week), there’s a dent on the edge of the toecap rubber of one shoe where I’m afraid that it is going to rip open. Also the black rubber on one side is starting to come off where it’s / should be connected to the tuquise rubber (possibly due to some failed toe catches…). That’s why I’ll resole them after only using them for 8 weeks. My Scarpa shoes with soft soles normally lasted around 6 months before I decided to resole them.
I’d give 5 stars for the fit and the performance, which is amazing! But I wouldn’t buy the shoe again because I expect better quality/ endurance for a shoe in this price range.

The sizing is off. I am size 5.5W in regular women’s shoes. The size 5.5 in women’s that I bought was about 1.5 inches short for my foot length–that’s off by a wide margin. Outfitters near me do not carry Unparallel climbing shoes. It’s been a real pain to find the appropriate size. Recommend to measure your feet first, and go by the cm sizing info on the size chart. Do not rely on your normal sizing in regular shoes.

It’s a beautiful shoe and the rubber seems delightfully sticky, but unfortunately it doesn’t fit me. I’m about to wear through my old 5.10 Anasazis (pre-Adidas) and an REI rep told me that UP was made by the people who left 5.10 after Adidas bought them out. I have a narrow heel and Greek toes, so climbing shoes can be super difficult to fit. Sadly, this was no exception – my toes were badly crunched in my usual size 10 while my heel was slipping out. Hopefully one of the other UP shoes will fit me 🙁

Probably my favourite shoe for all around indoor bouldering and steep outdoor bouldering. The shoe is hard to put on but once it is on it is aggressive but extremely comfortable. The rubber is sticky and the fit is amazing for someone with a relatively narrow foot. I would give it 5 stars but there are a few durability flaws that have come up for me as mainly an outdoor boulderer.
1. the pull tabs and the velcroe strap insertion fray and wear out quite quickly
2. the heel is amazing but the protective middle strip of rubber doesn’t come up high enough on the shoe, this causes the strip to peel off when climbing on coarse granite. Some heel hooks can also be quite painful because the rubber doesn’t come up high enough.
Overall amazing shoe, I recommend these to everyone
