Love these shoes. Got to try them on at a demo event and put them on in street size 8.5m. They felt awesome. I bought them half a size down 8m. The closure system and it’s comfortable design makes it ridiculously hard to tell that I even downsized, that’s how comfortable the fit feels. Sensitive rubber and split sole make it easier to navigate volumes, but you can totally feel the sacrifice when you need the support on micro feet or when pushing through angled volumes. The toe is amazing, it’s ridges offer lots of feedback. For reference I wear 8.5m in Sirius lace LV and TN pros. For performance I down size 8m. It’s nowhere near as stiff as the souped ups, actually it feels a bit softer than those and the TN pros. The heel could be narrower, I can’t really get good feedback like when I’m wearing the Qubits or the SirusLace LV. It’s a trade-off for sure. But at its price point and for the style of climbing where I’m jumping and smearing, it’s perfect. I prefer a stiffer shoe for slabs like the Qubits or Sirius lace, and it’s a minor upgrade from the souped ups given the more sensitive rubber and textured toe. I can wear them all day and forget they’re on. Totally an average climbers dream.
